John F. Aldridge

John Frank Aldridge, Age 91, of Detroit, MI passed away September 20, 2019.

Mr. John Frank Aldridge was born in Birmingham, Alabama on October 28, 1927 to the late John Aldridge and Lillie Mae Aldridge.  He was the oldest of six siblings.  Mr. Aldridge lived in Birmingham, Alabama until he became an adult.  Later his parents moved the family to Detroit, MI.  He enlisted in the United States Army.  After an honorable discharge from the Army Mr.Aldridge moved to Detroit.

Mr. Aldridge met the love of his life, Lessie Robinson, in 1950.  They got married that same year at Livingston Street Church of God In Christ under the late Pastor A. A. Moore in Detroit, MI.  Three children were born from that union. Later the family joined New St. Paul Tabernacle Church of God In Christ in 1969.

Mr. Aldridge was an electrician by trade.  He did work for his church, his family and for many others.  He continued to help people even after he retired from his job.

Mr. Aldridge loved to attend church with his family, watch educational programs on television and have discussions about what he had watched.  He loved spending time with his brothers and extended family during the holidays.

Mr. Aldridge transcended this life on September 20, 2019. He leaves behind three his three children:  Johnny Aldridge, David Aldridge and Andrea Aldridge, a brother Dwight (Melvene) McCollum and a host of nieces and nephews.
