Valerie M. Morris, Age 63, of Inkster, MI , passed away January 10, 2019.

Valerie was born April 22, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the eldest of eight children born to Alberta Taylor and William Morris. She received her formal education through the Detroit Public School system.

Valerie was a very spiritual woman who entrusted her life journey onto God though sickness and health. She was over joyed when she became a mother on November 14, 1972 with the birth of her first son Fidell Morris and again on June 15, 1981 with the birth of her second son Jamell Morris.  Valerie was always a nurturing spirit and become a mother to two daughters Aquarius and Zanece Warren in 1997.

Valerie was a very active member in her community always willing to help out others in times of need. She was a humble woman with a big heart and a beautiful smile.  Valerie enjoyed cooking and everyone knew if you stuck around long enough, Val was bound to feed you a good meal. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, shopping, making jewelry and statues, refurbishing furniture and watching movies.  What Valerie loved most of all was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they filled her heart with joy.

Valerie made her peaceful life transition on January 10, 2019, at home surrounded by family.  Preceding her in death was her father William Morris; grandfather and grandmother Oscar and Tessie Purvey; uncles Jimmy Purvey, Oscar Purvey, Gary Shipp; aunts Linda Purvey, brother Vandy Morris, sister Nia Morris, nephews Jarmar Taylor, Wayne Austin, Tyrone Morris.

She leaves to cherish and rejoice in her memory, her mother Alberta Taylor; her two sons, Fidell and Jamell (Tiffany) Morris; two daughters, Aquarius and Zanece Warren; two granddaughters, Amaih Morris and Wriver Nicoles; three grandsons, Jayvian, Jamell Jr., Jamar Morris; great-granddaughter, Mariah Shelby; great-grandson, Messiah Warren; seven sisters,  Marilyn Crowder, Donella Morris, Latonya Taylor, Wanda Crowder, Lisa Morris, Brenda , Linda Price; two brothers, Gray Morris, James Crowder; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
