Uzhi Williams, Age 69, of Detroit, MI passed away June 10, 2019.
Uzhi Williams, affectionally known as “Earl”, the son of Iola Williams and the late Jasper Wade Williams was born on June 25, 1949 in Andlausia, Alabama.
He attended Detroit Public Schools where he obtain his GED. After high school, he joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Earl was known to be a quiet and laid-back individual who never ceased to show his family how much he loved them. Earl enjoyed fishing and giving out food to the needy in his neighborhood. He could often be seen spending time with his grandchildren when he adored. Earl loved the Lord and gave his life to Christ at an early age.
Earl worked at Chrysler for nineteen years. From there he worked at the New Center Stamping Plant until he retired.
On June 10, 2019, the Lord called “Earl” home. Preceding him in death were his father Jasper Williams and the long time love of his life, Thelma Peeples.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Iola Williams; his only child Nicole Stewart (John); grandchildren Chenika, Sherri and Javon; brothers Dan Williams (Vernell), Zebedee Williams and Charles Cox; sisters Ira Williams, Mary Johnson and Martha Jones; six great grandchildren, Keni, Daniel, Gabrielle, Kamari, Kayla and DaKari; and a host of relatives and friends.
