Robert Dean Smith, 92, of Romulus, MI passed away January 13, 2023.
Robert “Bob” was born in Dundee, Michigan to Neva Windish Lindzy and Cassie Smith on October 5, 1930. He attended Wayne Memorial High School.
Robert enjoyed fishing, ceramics and gardening. He received certificates of appreciation from VFW and City of Wayne. He also received a military order of Purple Heart as well as two Bronze Stars for heroism. He was involved in Wayne Metro CSA, Wayne Democratic Club, Military Order of Purple Heart, V.F.W. / D.A.V., American Legion and Tohmas Colman Soup Kitchen.
Robert was preceded in passing by his wife Anna Walls Smith, daughter Neva Smith, mother Neva Lindzy, step-father Virgal Lindzy, father Cassie Smith, 3 sisters Vera (Fred) Shock, Virginia Norris, Patricia Lindzy, 3 brothers Albert (Rae) Smith, Paul Smith, Virgal Lindzy Sr., along wtih aunts, uncles, grandparents, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Smith-Russell (Anthony), Virginia Smith Aguayo (Jaun); 2 granddaughters, Neva Powell, Diamond Powell; 2 grandsons, Gill Powell III, Christopher Powell; 5 great-granddaughters, Gwendolyn Powell, Olivia Uritu, Genivive Powell, Mulani Farhat, Adrianna Ison; 5 great-grandsons, Owen Powell, Daniel Ison, Phenoix Michale Urita, Remington Dean Powell, Rowan Powell; foster daughter Jennifer Jamieson.
