Philip Bean

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Philip Keith Bean Sr., beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and beautiful soul. Philip passed away on November 28th, 2024, at the age of 67, with his family surrounding him as he crossed over to Heaven.

Philip was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Jack & Anuncia Bean on July 7th, 1957. Philip was the middle child of 5 children. He had 3 sisters, Margie, Jackie, and Anuncia, and 1 older brother John. 

Philip truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. He would always help anyone, as his generosity and unconditional love knew no bounds. His radiant smile and sense of humor lit up any room he entered. He was everyone's favorite. He lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved dogs, Arianna and Bella. Philip worked as a self-employed floor installer in Detroit, where he taught his sons the trade and the importance of a great work ethic. After retiring, he enjoyed making memories with his family, working on his 1977 Corvette, and racing on Michigan Ave.

 Philip is survived by his children Stephanie Marie Gonzalez (William Gonzalez), Philip Keith Bean Jr. (Samantha Protzman) and Jeremy Scott Bean; 10 grandchildren, Hailey Bell (Jordan Bell), Philip Keith Bean III, Mya Bean, Adienn Bean, Kaleb Bean, Mechella Bean, Asher Bean, Mason Bean, Jack Bean, Starr Bean; and one great-grandchild, Asher Bean.

Philip was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Anuncia Bean, his sister Anuncia Bean, his nephew Jerry Merta, his cousin Philip Maggio, and his beloved dog Arianna Bean.

Philip will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on through his children and grandchildren. Until we meet again.

 Services will be held at Husband’s Family Funeral Home on December 11th 2024. Viewing will be from 2:00pm - 6:00pm. Service will be at 6:00pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend the service to pay their final respects.
