Patricia Ann Rogers, 70, of Inkster, MI passed away February 22, 2021.

Patricia Ann Rogers was born at Wayne County Hospital, Michigan to Ellwood and Sarah Payne.  She was the 4th child of 16 born this union.

Patricia was educated in Inkster Public Schools and graduated from Inkster High School in 1968. After high school she went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Hematology. She then went on to become a Lab Technician Supervisor at Northville Psychiatric Hospital where she later retired.

She met and married Jerry Rogers, the love of her life, on November 23, 1968. To this union two children were born, daughter Tama and son Jerry.  They shared 52 years of marriage. They loved to dance and sing. Lots of Cabarets in their younger days. Their favorite song was “What’s the Matter with you Baby” by Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells.

Patricia confessed herself to Christ at a young age and recently became a member of United Church of Faith Methodist, Romulus, Michigan.

Patricia went home to be with the Lord, Monday, February 22, 2021. She joined her father Ellwood; mother Sarah; two brothers Ellwood “Boonie” and Milton “Milt”; three sisters Sarah “Werry”, Arlene “Leanie”, Hope Regina and her grandson Malik, all who preceded her in death.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband Jerry “JR”; daughter Tama “Tuggar” (Mark); son Jerry “Jay”; five grandchildren, Jerry “JL”, Ambreille, Paige, Sania and Skyler; six sisters Cherie (Harold), Janice, Deborah (Jack), Sandra (Ronald), Tonya (Fred), Lillie (Bryant); four brothers Woodell (Charlotte), Robert (Brenda, deceased), Chauncey (Susan), Walter (Tyra); four brothers-in-law, all deceased John, Elvin, David (Mona) and Helbert; four sisters-in-law, Loretta deceased (Andrew), Agnes (Robert), Joyce deceased, Ruby; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. To God Be The Glory for sharing Patricia with us.
