Obituary:
Marilyn Kay McCarver, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, passed away on August 2,2024, in Wayne, Michigan. She was born on July 19, 1956, in Manchester, Tennessee.
Marilyn was known for her kind heart and the special bond she shared with her first grandchild. She found joy in watching TV shows and cherished the role of being a grandmother.
She will be deeply missed by her surviving family and friends including her daughter Lucille Horner, sister Elizabeth Brewer, brother Robert (Melodie) McCarver, sister Eva McCarver, and her four grandchildren: Michael, Michelle, Ryan, and Samantha.
Marilyn is now reunited with her father Lewis Carter McCarver, mother Myrtle Campbell McCarver, and siblings Lewis Stanley McCarvver, John McCarver, Kerry McCarver, Gustalene Gibson, and Naama Gibson.
A Memorial Service to honor Marilyn's life will take place on August 23, 2024 at Beacon Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan, beginning at 10:30 AM.
Though Marilyn's physical presence may no longer be with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
