Lionel Ray Rosemond, Age 56, of Detroit, MI passed away December 1, 2019.
Lionel Ray Rosemond was born February 24, 1963. He was the fifth child of Frank & Anna Mae Rosemond. His parents preceded him in death, also his brother Frank Marvin and sister Wanda Lee.
As a child and young adult, Lionel attended Peoples Community Church in Detroit, Michigan where he was on the C.F. Steward Usher Board and sang in the Ethereal Choir. He later joined Abyssinian Church in Detroit and became a deacon. Lionel attended the Detroit Public Schools where he graduated from Osbourne High School. Lionel worked in the mental health field as a caregiver. He loved his job. He was also affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America…he loved to go camping. Lionel loved his family as well as family outings.
Lionel departed this life Sunday, December 1, 2019 with his family by his side. He leaves to rejoice in his memory; two sisters Laurel King and Marcella Blue; one brother Clarence Rosemond (LaTonya); nephews Frank Ralph, Stephen King, Alex Blue, Nate Blue, Cornell Roy, Eddie Ray Rosemond; nieces Shaniqua Rosemond, Jessica Rosemond and Nicole Blue; a very special friend Gerald Hever; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, other family and friends.
