Johnnie Beatrice Ceolin, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 after a long struggle with chronic kidney disease. Johnnie was born on January 28, 1936 in Inkster, MI, daughter of the late Fannie and Flavers Davis.

She is preceded in death by her sisters Evangeline, Elizabeth, Burnese and Persephone. She is survived by her devoted husband Nello and loved children, Nella Davis-Ray (Greg Woodard), Renato Davis (Anntionette) and Ivano Davis (Christina), grandchildren Ivano, Sergio, Autumn, Renata, Dario; Nevaeh, Nikkos and great grandchild Landon and her dear sisters Mary, Edmonia and Flavers.

The youngest of eight girls, Johnnie’s life revolved around her family which included many loved nieces and nephews. Johnnie loved reading and cooking but her true passion was sewing. She expressed her love by sewing most of her children’s clothing throughout their childhood. Johnnie was a spiritual person with a deep abiding faith in Jesus Christ.

She graduated from Inkster High School and spent most of her adult life employed by the State of Michigan. Johnnie retired from the Michigan Employment Security Commission as an employment counselor in 1998.

Johnnie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
