John “Junior” Thomas Dasho, age 74, lifelong resident of Wayne, died suddenly on December 30, 2022, in Wayne, MI.
John was born on January 6, 1948, in Wayne, MI to parents John Dasho and Genevieve Jurczyk. He graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne, MI.
He is preceded in death by his mother, his father, and his sister Joanne.
John is survived by his wife Laura Gruich Dasho.
John was a great family man and an extremely loving father. He married Gwenn Pulk in January 1967, and the couple had three children together, Elaine (Greg) Kosakowski, Constance (Jason) Baker, Emily (Michael) Johnson. He was extremely proud and loved each of his 11 grandchildren: Gregory, Jane, and Joseph Kosakowski. Brittany Kase, Taylor Liebert, Hannah and Cody Baker. Michelle Draper, Corinne Johnson, Michaela Maldonado, and Brooke Johnson. He also loved his three great granddaughters: Blaire Kase, Mallory Draper, and Amirah Bokhari
John was a self-employed carpet installer throughout his life and enjoyed working at a carpet store after retirement to pass time with something he genuinely enjoyed.
John was a social, active man who loved to sing. He enjoyed singing karaoke with his friends and family along with talking about old cars. His family and friends will always remember him as an outgoing, friendly, and personable man who accepted everyone he met.
John’s wishes for cremation have been followed. Along with a Celebration of Life which will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the Masonic Temple 37137 Palmer Rd., Westland, MI 48186 from 1p-4p. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.
