Jennifer M. Adkins

Jennifer Marie Adkins, 33, of Westland, MI passed away August 20, 2020.

Jennifer was born May 17, 1987 in Detroit Michigan to Barbara J. Selonke and Larry Adkins.

She attended Wayne Memorial High School and graduated in 2005. She went on to earn a certificate in Phlebotomy. She enjoyed music, the beach and having fun.

Jennifer is survived by her daughter Alana A. Blue; her mother Barbara J. Selonke; her father Larry (Dean) Adkins; brother Christofer D. Adkins; half-sister Sarah N. Adkins; nephew Dean C. Martin-Adkins. She is predeceased by her grandma Janice “Na” Selonke, grandpa Larry D. Adkins Sr., stepdad Anthony L. Zdanowski and great-grandma Mary S. Rozewicz.

Her family wishes to extend their gratitude to Heather Johnson and Barbara Selonke’s work family.

Jennifer tragically and unexpectedly lost her life at only 33 years old on August 20th, 2020. She was a Mother, a Daughter, a Sister, a Granddaughter, a Niece, a Cousin, an Aunt, and she was a Friend. Some of you may have also known her as “The Ice Cream Lady”.

Jen was a very kind person. She was sweet, intelligent, ambitious, beautiful, spontaneous, and she had so much potential. We will never know what could have come from the talent that slipped away.

We want everyone to always remember Jennifer for who she truly was. The unconditional love that she had for her daughter, her perfect smile, her brains, her beauty, her laugh, her kindness, and her unique sense of humor. She was loved so much and we will never stop missing her.
