Jeffrey J. Girgen

Jeffrey John Girgen “Popi” “Big Jeff” “Jeff” aged 65, originally from Inkster, MI and a long-time resident of Lupton, MI, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2024 at his home in Lupton, MI.

Jeffrey was born on 05/07/1959 to Albert & Felicia Girgen in Detroit, MI. He grew up in Inkster, MI and attended Cherry Hill High School. Jeffrey was known for his love for billiards, bowling, baseball, golf and horse racing. Most of all his love for his granddaughter’s Mackenzie & Sloane. He also enjoyed boating, fishing and playing his guitar.

Jeffrey was predeceased by Felicia Girgen (mother), Albert Girgen (father), Larry Girgen (brother). He is survived by his loving and longtime partner Barb; his children Jeffrey (Kodie); his granddaughter’s Mackenzie & Sloane; his niece & nephew, Tiffany & Justin.

A funeral viewing will be held on Sunday 8/18/2024 from 1:00-5:00PM at Husband Family Funeral Home at 2401 S. Wayne Rd, Westland, MI 48185. 

In state will take place at St. Mary Catholic Church at 34530 Michigan Ave, Wayne, MI 48184 on Monday 8/19/2024 at 10:30AM with mass immediately following at 11:00AM.
