James Wright Copeland, 74, of Westland, MI passed away November 25, 2022.
James was born in Detroit, Michigan to Roy and Rena Copeland on November 22, 1948. He attended Heritage High School where he graduated in 1967.
James enjoyed working on and sharing his knowledge of cars, being with family and loved taking grandkids to get ice cream.
James was preceded in passing by his father Roy Copeland, mother Rena Copeland, granddaughter Jessica Pack and (3) brothers, Will Copeland, Bob Copeland, Mike Copeland. He is survived by his daughter Diana Bozarth; (2) sons, James and Shawn Bryant; (4) granddaughters, Brittany Pratt, Heather Pack, Julia Bryant, Tara Bryant; (5) grandsons, Bret Deskins, Jonathon Bryant, James Bryant, Jordan Bryant, Chance Marant; (2) great-granddaughters, Emma Jamieson Norah Bryant; (3) great-grandsons, Blake Jamieson, Dustin Pratt, Holden Bryant;,step-daughter Patricia Piner; and (2) sisters, Mary White and Jean Weaks.
James was the kindest, most generous man. He would give his shirt off his back to help someone he loved. He was YouTube before YouTube was here. Whether he was known as Dad, Papa Jim or Uncle Jim, he was always there to help and teach all of us.
