Glenn Seals

Glenn Seals, Age 63, of Westland, MI passed away October 27, 2019.

Glenn Seals Sr. was born October 30, 1955 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He was the sixth child of eight children born to his loving parents Clemmie Lee and Bertha Ree Seals. He was educated in the Inkster Public School System.

Glenn was baptized and attended church regularly at in early age with his family at Mt. Moriah Church of God Holiness. He enjoyed singing in the youth choir and participating in the youth auxiliary functions. Also, a member of the choir and attending these functions was Phyllis Jones. In a couple of years, they fell in love and were married in 1974 for many years. To this union, they both welcomed four children: Tina, Gwendolyn, Glenn Jr. and Phyllis A Seals.

Following in his father’s footsteps, he became employed at Ford Motor Company and also laid carpet with his father who owned a carpentry business. He was later employed at Thorne Apple Valley meat packing plant in Detroit, MI. Later in life, Glenn met Jessie Bryant and they welcomed one child: Jessica Seals.

Glenn “Bone Crusher” was known for his hilarious sense of humor and a jokester, love for music, singing, fishing, cooking (especially 2 AM full dinner meals) and his amazing barbecue, which he often bragged that no one could do it better! His favorite colors were blue and brown, loved his dog Snowy and known to be the life of the party at family gatherings. Glenn also LOVED his sweets, from his mother’s red velvet cake, sweet potato pies, and pound cakes to candies and cookies; he always has sweets within his reach.

Glenn leaves to cherish memories with his parents Bertha R. and Clemmie L. Seals Sr.; 5 children, Tina Seals, Gwendolyn Seals, Glenn D. Seals Jr., Phyllis A Seals and Jessica Seals; 8 grandchildren, Glenn D. Seals III, DeAnte Seals, Nyah Seals, Amia Seals, Kevin Booker, Lelia Booker, Taiye Seals and Anaye Seals; 3 sisters, Shirley Bates (Larry), Bertha A Seals and Robin James (Jerry preceded him in death); 4 brothers, Clemmie L Seals Jr., Jamie Seals Sr., Isaac Seals and Lawrence Seals Sr. (Charlotte); special bonds: Phyllis P. Seals and Jessie Bryant; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
