Doris Howard, 92, left us on July 5, 2023, with her family by her side at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
Doris was born November 22, 1930, in Detroit to Clarence and Lucille Carter. She had three siblings – Clarence, Jr., Eileen Clay, and Marjorie Moffit. She was educated in the Detroit Public School System and worked as an office administrative assistant.
Doris, affectionately called Booties by her close friends and family, was quick-witted, and we could always count on her for a hearty laugh. She was never one to be out-smarted. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. We are grateful for the wisdom she imparted to our family. We will forever treasure her sage advice and her willingness to extend a listening ear.
William Howard (spouse), Janet Rambus (daughter), and Lorene Sanders (granddaughter) preceded her in death.
Doris leaves her daughter, Brenda Reeves (Bobbie), and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews to cherish her memories. She spent her latest years in Belleville, MI, with those closest to her and her girls (pets – Bella, Mya, and Sophie).
