Daniel R. Hoelscher

Daniel Richard Hoelscher, Age 63, of Westland, MI passed away on January 24, 2020.

Daniel was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the late Jerome Hoelscher and the late Mae Marguerite (Moore) Hoelscher on October 15, 1956. He attended high school at Plymouth Salem.

He leaves to celebrate his life: his children Anita Hoelscher and Michael (Kelli) Hoelscher; five siblings Deborah (Ron) Wenderski, Bonita Bloom, Doris (Terry) Darga, Catherine Hoelscher and Patrick Hoelscher; grandchildren Addisyn, Kaylynne, Skylar, Savannah, Jayson and Emma and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jerome and Mae Hoelscher; brother Jay Hoelscher; grandmother Mary Hoelscher and aunt Eleanor Hoelscher.

Dan was a tireless worker and retired from General Motors after 32 years. He later owned his own business “Big Dan’s Lawn Maintenance” which provided landscaping to many customers. He loved cook-offs and bonfires and had a serious love for Chips Ahoy cookies and ice cream. His loves also included hunting and camping but he will best be known for being the life of the party.
