Clifton Johnson

d. August 22, 2019

Clifton Johnson, Age 42, of Taylor, MI passed away August 22, 2019.

Clifton Lesalle Johnson was born on September 10, 1976 in Southfield, MI to the union of Luvine and the late Charles Johnson.  Clifton attended the Detroit Public Schools where he received his education and training then graduated from Mumford High School.

At an early age, Clifton accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  Clifton could be found reading the Word of God instead of playing outside with friends. He was always inviting his friends and family to come to church.  His early teachings were under the membership of International Gospel Center under the late Apostle Charles O. Miles. His later membership at Bethel Deliverance Tabernacle International under Bishop Milton Woods.  Clifton received his Certificate of Appreciation for his dedication and faithfulness as his Adjutant.

Brother Clifton’s willingness to be of service when called upon was an asset within the Body of Christ and his personal growth in the Lord. He also served with other ministries of the Gospel while volunteering for street ministry and feeding the homeless.  He was very passionate about prayer, outreach ministry and was an avid reader of inspirational books. He faithfully served in prayer ministry and received his Baptismal Certificate under the leadership of Apostle Sharon Render Johnson through Family Restoration Worldwide, in January of 2017.

Clifton worked in the auto, food and security industries, he gained professionalism, other attributes included reliability and dependability. He also enjoyed working out, watching football, sparring in boxing and basketball.  Clifton liked watching movies and listening to good clean humor. Even following his illness, he was quite the chef, making sure that he and his loving wife always had a good meal. He had such a radiant smile that lit up a room and brought warmth to the hearts of those who knew him.

Clifton met and married the love of his life Minister Barbara Render on December 16, 2016 whom he leaves to cherish his memory.  He also leaves to treasure his memory, his Mother Luvine Johnson; his sister Victoria Rena Crawford (who preceded him in death); two brothers, Eddie Powell and his very special twin brother, Clinton Johnson (Inga); five nieces, Yovan Crawford, Porsha Powell, Isabella Marie, Clinique and Parys Johnson; two nephews, Eddie Powell Jr., Jesse and Mario Crawford; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins. He also leaves his longtime spiritual partners Roosevelt and Sharon Render Johnson and Bro. Gene Jackson.
