Carolyn Tourangeau, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, in Taylor, Michigan. Born on January 22, 1944, in Piggott, Arkansas, Carolyn embodied warmth and compassion throughout her life.
Carolyn will be remembered fondly by her family and friends for her vibrant spirit and love of life. She is survived by her son, Geary McCoy, and daughter, Alice (George) Zaidle. Her legacy continues through her granddaughters, Autumn Blair, Jenna Zaidle, Lily McCoy, Paige Tourangeau, and Courtney Tourangeau, and her grandson, George Zaidle. She also leaves behind stepson John (Martha) Tourangeau and stepdaughter Chris Tourangeau.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Gabe Tourangeau, and her children, Tammy McCoy and Eddie McCoy. She was also preceded by her mother, Geneva Couch, and her sister, Betty Murray. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and their memories will be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Throughout her life, Carolyn enjoyed various hobbies that brought her joy, including attending garage sales, enjoying a game of bingo, and creating delicious meals for her loved ones. Her passion for cooking was evident in the love she shared through her culinary creations, bringing people together around the dinner table.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor and celebrate Carolyn’s life. A visitation will be held on November 17, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at The Husband Family Funeral Home, located at 2401 S Wayne Rd, Westland, Michigan, 48186. The funeral service will commence at 4:00 PM and will provide an opportunity for all to share memories and express their love for a remarkable woman.
Carolyn Tourangeau's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to the love and joy she brought into the world.
